I'm trying Dumb Phone, a new app from @michael_tigas. With it, you can create home screens like this and in my case, I think it is a very good idea for some mode of concentration.
It is an interactive widget with shortcuts to the apps you choose.

Really love using this. I asked the developer for a new feature and he built it really quick! Really handy to keep my focused on something and not letting me get distracted by the pretty colors in another window

Dumb phone, smart app
I installed Dumb Phone at the end of my work week and in just a short couple of days I can’t imagine going back. When I mindlessly unlock my phone now I see the screen and I realize I could be using a more purpose-oriented device or just not looking at a device at all.

I know quite a few folks (myself included) who want to have a bit more control over distractions. I normally just switch my phone to black-and-white mode, but this looks way more powerful!

I need my iPhone tools but I don't need the colored distractions. I used @dumbphoneapp and now it's a "dumb phone": focused and minimalist. The idea is to go back to using your phone as a tool and not a source of dopamine.
